On November 1, the ACG hosted a virtual discussion about the broader implications of the conflict with Middle East expert Prof. Dr. Eckart Woertz, Director of the GIGA Institute for Middle East Studies and Professor for Contemporary History and Politics of the Middle East at the University of Hamburg.

On October 27, the ACG, in collaboration with 1014, held a virtual discussion with Steven Erlanger, Chief Diplomatic Correspondent in Europe for The New York Times, and Dr. Anna Sauerbrey, Foreign Editor at the weekly DIE ZEIT, about the evolving geopolitical landscape, emerging alliances, and the growing polarization between Western democracies and authoritarian regimes.

On October 24, the ACG held a virtual discussion with Dr. Karl-Heinz Kamp, Lecturer at the University “Roma Tre” and Associate Fellow at the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP), about Germany’s nuclear defense policy and deterrence.

On October 23, the ACG hosted a special edition of the regular Kaffeepause with former German Ambassador to Poland Rolf Nikel.

The ACG regularly hosts a discussion with a journalist based in Germany on the topics making the headlines and shaping political discourse. On October 16, the ACG hosted a Kaffeepause with journalist Alfred Schmit.
