Anthony J.R. Cook is Principal and Financial Advisor in Bernstein’s New York office. He advises business owners, wealthy families, and institutions throughout the world regarding their investments. Working with his clients and their professional advisors closely, he develops comprehensive financial plans that are uniquely suited to each client’s resources, tax situation, risk tolerance, domicile and estate planning goals. Prior to joining the firm in 2013, Anthony was an executive vice president with W.P. Stewart Asset Management (NA), Inc., and before that he was an executive vice president with Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., Inc.
Anthony is a member of the CFA Society New York and the CFA Institute. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder. He was formerly a board member and chairman of the investment committee of the Westfield Area Y as well as co-chair of the annual fund committee. He also served as a trustee of the Westfield Foundation, where he was chairman of the investment committee and board president. He has served as endowment advisor to the First Baptist Church of Westfield. Most recently, Anthony served as a board member, and executive committee member, and chair of the annual gala of the New Jersey Festival Orchestra – New Jersey’s second-largest professional orchestra.
Anthony holds a BS in managerial economics from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA in finance and international business from NYU’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business, where he was a Stern Scholar. Anthony was an ACG Young Leader in 2001.
