Simon Book is a German journalist with WirtschaftsWoche in Berlin. He was previously a reporter for Handelsblatt and for Financial Times Deutschland. He holds a bachelor of arts in Media and Communication from the University of Passau and a master of arts in Journalism from the Deutsche Journalistenschule München. Mr. Book has received fellowships from the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, DC. He has also received several awards, including the Hugo Junkers Award for outstanding Aviation Journalism, the Journalism Prize of the Volks- und Raiffeisen Banking Group, the Heinrich-Heine-Journalism-Prize, the Belarus in Focus-Award, and the Ludwig Erhard Award for Business Journalism. In 2016, he was selected by the American Council on Germany as an Anna-Maria and Stephen M. Kellen Fellow to conduct research on transatlantic trade.
