On September 13, the American Council on Germany and the Aspen Institute Germany hosted a State-to-State: German-American State Legislator Dialogue with German and American state legislators, including Senator Dave Argall (R), Pennsylvania State Senate; Wibke Brems (Alliance 90/Die Grünen), Member of the State Parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia; and Romina Plonsker (CDU), Member of the State Parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia.

On August 8, the American Council on Germany hosted a virtual discussion with Dr. Janka Oertel, the Director of the Asia Program and a Senior Policy Fellow at the European Council on Foreign Relations, about the debate within the German government to develop a China Strategy and the contours of Berlin’s new approach to China.
