Majid Sattar is the U.S. Correspondent for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. After graduating from high school and an exchange year in the United States, he studied political science and history in Saarbrücken and Freiburg. He received his doctorate in 2000 from the University of Freiburg with a dissertation on the American Congress.
He began his journalism career at Heilbronner Stimme, where he worked in the political department. In 2000, he moved to the online editorial department of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. In 2004, he joined the political editorial team, and later, he joined the parliamentary editorial department in Berlin. After eight years in Berlin, he moved to Washington to serve as the U.S. Correspondent.
