Julie Linn Teigland is Managing Partner for EY in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland and a member of the management of the EMEIA region (Europe, Middle East, India, and Africa) and of EY in Germany. She has been with EY since 2001 and was appointed Partner in 2002. Since 2011, she has been a member of the Executive Board of the EMEIA region, where she headed the Accounts division from 2011 to 2016 as Managing Partner. Ms. Teigland supports both large and medium-sized companies in statutory audits in accordance with German and international standards (HGB and U.S. GAAP), IPOs, capital market transactions and all regulatory matters, tax returns under U.S. and German law, and worldwide transactions.
Turning her knowledge of both sides of the Atlantic into specializations, Ms. Teigland’s career began with Arthur Andersen. She first focused on accounting (HGB and U.S. GAAP) and subsequently on tax (tax advice and planning under U.S. and German tax law). She advised real estate investment funds on international transactions before changing sides in 1998 to head the finance and accounting function of the international project developer Tishman Speyer Properties when they were involved in some of Berlin’s biggest real estate projects.
A strong advocate of digital solutions, Ms. Teigland has prioritized EY’s market organization and digital transformation. She is deeply connected to the central European network of tech leaders, in addition to being a member of the prestigious UN EQUALS Advisory Board connecting the public and private sector to advance digital gender parity.
