Individual Membership

As an individual member of the American Council on Germany, you gain access to a forum where concerned professionals can engage in informed discussions with European and American thought leaders. The ACG’s policy discussions, conferences, networking events, and exchanges enable interested individuals to explore the issues that shape policies and opinions on both continents. 

With its broad-based membership, experience, and contacts in government, industry, academia, and the media, the Council is uniquely equipped to conduct diverse, impactful activities. Speakers have included the German Chancellor, German Federal Ministers, prominent Bundestag Members, U.S. government officials, senior European Union officials, leading members of finance and industry, and many others. Individual members are entitled to receive the ACG’s weekly news digest and special publications.

To apply, please submit the following:

• a letter of nomination from a current member, Board member, or officer of the ACG and
• your CV or biographical sketch.

Nominations are regularly presented to the Board of Directors for approval. The nomination procedure and membership are automatic for individuals who participated in any ACG Study Tour,  Fellowship, or the Young Leader program, with the names being put before the Board solely for advisory purposes.
