Abstract: The dual-apprenticeship program is one of the secrets to the success of German industry. As the starting point for many careers, apprenticeship is accepted in society. Can we cut and paste it here in the U.S.? This presentation takes a brief look back to the 1880’s with examples of apprenticeship stories from the manufacturing industry that could change future talent pipelines in the U.S.
