The ACG will host a discussion and reception with Thomas Haldenwang, President of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (Bundesamt für Verfassungsschutz (BfV)).
Thomas Haldenwang currently serves as the President of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (Bundesamt für Verfassungsschutz (BfV)), a key domestic intelligence agency in Germany with the mission of fighting extremist adversaries of the federal constitution.
Mr. Haldenwang started working at the BfV in 2009, became Vice President in 2013, and then President in 2018. Prior to working for the BfV, he worked as a legal officer for the Federal Ministry of Interior and the Federal Office of Administration. He studied Law at the University of Marburg. He is a prominent German civil servant and intelligence officer who has dedicated his career to national security and counterintelligence.
