NYC: The Merkel Regime – Germany after the Election

The American Council on Germany will host a discussion and luncheon with Klaus-Dieter Frankenberger, Foreign Editor of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (1985 ACG Legislative Fellow).

Klaus-Dieter Frankenberger (1985 ACG Legislative Fellow) is the Foreign Editor of the German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, whose editorial staff he joined in September 1986. Mr. Frankenberger’s focuses on U.S., European, transatlantic, and international politics. Prior to joining the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, he was a congressional fellow and served as an assistant to a Member of Congress in 1985 and 1986, thus taking a closer look at the political decision-making process of the United States. Mr. Frankenberger’s academic activities include research positions at the Center for North American Studies in Frankfurt/Main and a Marshall Fellowship at Harvard University in 1990. He holds a degree in American Studies, Economics, and Political Science and also a master’s degree from Frankfurt University.
